If you have 15 minutes, it's worth listening to this interview with Aisha Gomez from MN - www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YHa...

Listen particularly to her responses to the questions of what the cops are doing and also to what state/local government responses are/can't be.

The limits are everywhere.

I have nothing new or insightful to add, only gentle reminders:

- Continue to regulate your nervous system.
- Hydrate and fuel your body.
- Check in on your loved ones and neighbors.
- If you can, give to mutual aid (it helps people immediately!).
- Protect the most vulnerable.
- Read.

Fascism needs us isolated. Community is the antidote. Think about it.

They bust up unions and outlaw them
They make bulldoze playgrounds
They deploy BOTS to sow confusion and hate in online communities
They segregate schools
They redline neighborhoods
They gerrymander voting districts

After hearing the news today, I feel rage.

I am going to do what I've told so many of you to do for so long; use your anger for something good.

So this is me, trembling as I type this trying to do something good.

Here is a list of ways to help folks in Minnesota right now⬇️

Alex Pretti was a helper.

He was directing traffic in an area of ICE occupation and then was trying to help a woman bystander being roughed up by ICE when ICE tackled him to the ground and executed him.
Alex Pretti, the man killed by federal agents today in Minneapolis, appears to have been a registered nurse, an athlete, a son and a brother, with ties to Colorado and Wisconsin.

Here is a photo he used for several accounts.

Love to everyone.

But have you taken care of you today?

Have you taken your meds?
Drank water?
Ate something nourishing?
Rested?
Unplugged?
Connected with someone you love and who loves you?

Please take care of you. You matter and are important and deserve care.

I’m seeing increased use of this word and I just want to gently suggest that if there’s one word you can manage to remove from your vocabulary it should be this one.

It was coined by a eugenicist who used it as a diagnosis to forcibly institutionalize and sterilize mentally disabled people.
The Origins of the Word "Moron" Are Actually REALLY Sinister
It's much more than just a casual insult.

ICE has kidnapped so many people from their cars that the city had to put out this statement. Let that sink in.
Vehicles that are abandoned due to an ICE detention and towed to the City's impound lot will be released to their owners or a representative at no cost.

Everyone with authority must speak out now against Trump's depravity and lawlessness.

Every Democratic leader.

Every university, professional association, charity, and foundation head.

Every CEO.

Every religious leader.

If they don't, history will condemn their cowardice and complicity.

I don’t think people quite understand that the occupation by ICE in the Twin Cities has more or less erased non-white people from public life. They cannot safely exist in any space accessible to the public and moving between private places leaves folks vulnerable to kidnapping by armed masked goons.

NEW — ICE violence has spread well beyond Minneapolis, with agents landing in small cities like St. Cloud. I spoke with Alice Valentine, a local queer trans woman, who protested ICE on Monday and was pepper sprayed, beaten and jailed as a result, along with her girlfriend.

This rogue, violent agency has no business in our communities and must be abolished.

And the agents involved must be held fully accountable.
