Upholding the proud Canadian tradition of doing things that will likely result in international laws being written to prevent them from happening again.

It's impossible to overstate how much impact Catherine O'Hara has had on Canadian minds for generations. She's been a Canadian icon since before I was born.

My condolences to those who knew her, this is tough even for those of us that didn't.
The legendary Catherine O’Hara has died.

She was 71.

The theory of the Last Universal Common Ancestor makes me think that we're not just related to every other living thing, but —in a very real way— every living thing is just one living thing.

We are all LUCA, a long unbroken chain of cells that can all trace their way back to the original body.

"Our new analysis shows that it is far more dangerous to be pregnant than to have an abortion, and this gap in mortality risk is even larger than previously recognized.” - lead study author Maria Steenland.
In fact, the mortality risk of pregnancy is 44 to 70 times higher than from abortion.
Risk of maternal death during pregnancy greatly underestimated, study finds
A new study comparing deaths of pregnant people and of those who have an abortion show that risk of death due to pregnancy is three times higher than previously estimated.

Bridgerton on Netflix or Wonder Man on Disney?

I mean, obviously both, but which first?

I think I'm leaning towards Regency romance.

The only possible defense for this I can come up with:
Maybe it's a subtle bit of political commentary about how American history, as it's taught, is largely made-up slop that only resembles reality if you don't look too closely.

I don't think that's true, though.

Net favourable is funny, because you see -62% and you think, "Wow, almost two-thirds of people disapprove," and then you remember that this is net, so it's actually 81% disapprove, offset by 19% that approve.

Trump's 90.5% disapproval is offset by 9.5% who approve to get net -79%.

"Boulder," is a much less impressive term when you find out that they can be measured in millimetres without needing a decimal separator.
For those who need to know (which includes certain astronomers): "sand" as a term in geology is not based on composition. It is a term based on the size of the clasts. Here is the Wentworth scale we use to demarcate the names of the different size classes.
