I do not understand Python's uncanny ability to look like an absolute mess, no matter how tidy your code actually is, as soon as you get more than a 100-200 lines in a project

Update: it was painful enough still that I went out to the auto parts store and picked up some fast orange under the argument "well, it gets motor oil out of my hands, why not the oils from peppers?" And I scrubbed my hands very thoroughly with that and the burn is far less intense
Can capsaicin give you full chemical burns? Are my hands just burnt and that is why nothing is seemingly making a dent??
I have well and truly messed up. I was prepping some peppers I got at the farmer's market for fermenting last night and I did not think to put on gloves until after I got through the few dozen hot banana peppers and my hands started burning. I have tried so many things and my hands are still on fire

Just finished making Luna's Halloween costume. It is the perfect one for a dog that 1) loves sleeping like a little bean and 2) will attempt to rip any clothes off of her that are not a kerchief after about 10 minutes

I think this also just annoys me because it is fundamentally a bad faith, straw man attack and those are just annoying.
Saying "I miss when the worst thing in the news was people mad about a tan suit" is not by necessity stating that that was the only objectionable thing this person has ever done.

This is not an anti diy post. I diy lots of projects. This is an assertion that if you are going to diy you need to spend a little bit of time doing the research and figuring out how to do the thing. Not deciding to make your own drywall tape with painters tape because they are both tape, etc.
The real "true crime" content in your life is everything the past owners of your house did when they decided not to hire a professional to fix something.

Luna always looks at me so betrayed when I move her when she is partially off the bed and prone to rolling over in a way that will cause her to fall off (at which point she will pretend like nothing happened and no one saw anything if I don't move her in time before the thing happens)
