'Made-up quote' in Canadian satire site The Beaverton fools Time Magazine | CBC News
In a recent article about the United States' strained relationships with other countries, Time Magazine included a made-up quote from Canadian satire site The Beaverton — seemingly as fact.

Still bugs me that the original plan for the Picard show was "retired Picard solves small stakes Agatha Christie style mysteries in rural France" and the powers that be (either Paramount/Viacom or Patrick Stewart) nixed that.

Also home to one of the best, most hated villains in gaming in years.
Currently playing the Switch game “Unpacking.” In it, you methodically unpack and put everything in its proper place. Very meditative.

There's a Square-Enix lofi music stream that occasionally plays remixes from Final Fantasy Brave Exvius which makes me very upset because I played that mobile gacha game for years before it shut down, making it completely inaccessible.

there is always a police procedural show on canadian television where one of the lead characters is a dog. each network has shared this responsibility for generations.
I think if Canada wants to have a strong cultural identity we need to go back to doing what we're best at, making the weirdest fucking TV shows you've ever seen

Phones got good enough that you don't need new hardware every 1-2 years to keep up. New phones are getting more expensive and offer nothing (why would I want an "AI phone?"). The only thing they have to entice me is a fresh battery. (Our phones should be easier to repair!)

Whenever I say this, people get Really Mad, but it's true. Same of any other art, too. You have to read the book, watch the film, see the painting, listen to the song, whatever.

I'm sorry, but watching a video about it on YouTube is not enough. You have not experience the art.
"you have not played the game unless you've played the game" is one of my more annoying but unshakable opinions
the whole "don't play the game, just watch a video on youtube that will explain its story to you" is so disheartening because the issue of accessibility is genuinely really important but it's always just people who want to be spoon-fed nicely quantifiable information
