Would just like to point out that if your ancestral voices are prophesising war, then you're probably British. Bonus points for war with Fr*nce.

Here comes the two-touchdown, three-interception game we have all been waiting for!
More changes for the Giants: Jameis Winston is elevated to No. 2 QB and expected to start Sunday in the event Jaxson Dart doesn’t clear the concussion protocol, per The Insiders.

Winston was moved ahead of Russell Wilson, as interim coach Mike Kafka informed them.

Now here’s Collaterlie Sisters with the financial news
If I had to describe the fairly modest moves in the gilt market today, I would say it is a bit like the feeling of slightly needing the toilet after half an hour in the swimming pool.

The Soviet fleet was only 12th biggest in the world by 1961 per Oscar Sanchez-Sibony's Red Globalization

This recontextualizes, for me, how much of the fleet would be tied up in shipments to Cuba for sugar that the USSR and its allies didn't even need in the 60s

Deeply weird thing about British politics is whenever I look closely at any of the political parties I go “well, you’re gonna lose”.
Trump is incredibly unpopular here! including amongst Tory voters. What are they doing?
Conservative Shadow Culture Secretary Nigel Huddleston tells GB News that the BBC should "grovel" to Trump.

Amazing how many British 'patriots' are spending their time telling our national broadcaster to prostrate itself before a hostile foreign leader

BBC News 24 was a terrible idea. It led to endless hours of nonsense to fill the airwaves and a descent into clickbait.
Just scrap BBC News 24 or whatever they call it now, restore the World Service COMPLETELY - we have lost way too much soft power - and allow anyone anywhere in the world to buy a TV License which allows them complete access to iPlayer for a year.

And that also solves the financial constraints.

Coming out of Newark airport yesterday and there were three separate instances of very bad turbulence which the pilot explained was us going through the wash of another plane. That’s not normal is it?

People are taking the piss out of this, but I was intrigued by the Polish marking. Turns out it's an acknowledgment by the local community of three Polish squadrons who flew from a local RAF base, 22 of whom died in service and 6 of whom are buried locally. I think the mockery is uncalled for.
