Everything happening in the Mos Eisley Cantina makes more sense when you realize these guys are getting their drinks in for the weekend because of Tattooine’s blue laws.

For a couple years, I didn’t watch The Pitt out of grief for my mom, who frankly died as a result of the stress of nursing during COVID and holding the hands of people she’d known all her life so they wouldn’t die alone.

I had to watch the body cleaning episode because of her stories. Phenomenal.

Girl, you don’t want these blanket memes.

You’re about to get these blanket memes.
“.. Noem and Lewandowski frequently berate senior level staff, give polygraph tests to employees they don’t trust and have fired employees—in one incident, Lewandowski fired a U.S. Coast Guard pilot after Noem’s blanket was left behind on a plane ..”

Just a joy. He’s that dude.
BREAKING: Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss gets another year of eligibility, after an injunction ruling by a state court in Mississippi.

Comes after the NCAA denied a waiver three times. Judge said the NCAA acted in bad faith in denying a 2022 tonsil issue with 2025 documentation.

I know everyone wants to believe this is a conspiracy, but we can’t dismiss the possibility that media executives are just that bad at their jobs.
Before The Washington Post layoffs came down, a group of wealthy D.C. locals approached CEO Will Lewis with a proposal.

OK, Link had an interesting twist on the standard Muppet prompt:

Substack: No! It's something else entirely that you didn't ask for!

I watched the Wizards last night against my beloved Knicks. Somehow the AD trade is typical Wizards bullcrap and also makes a ton of sense?

I think some form of these cuts were coming, but if Bezos doesn’t start messing with the editorial page and running off The Post’s main subscribers, are they so deep and existential?

The Post has a smart content-eating audience in the DMV. If you’re running them off, what are you doing?

Bari’s sole, career-defining trick is to repackage bog-standard elite opinion as something “edgy” and “heterodox.”

There is an audience for that product, and the audience has a lot of spare cash. (You will never go broke telling rich people what they want to hear.)

But it’s a NICHE audience.
