It's kinda like if you were born intuitively feeling like the A button should be on the right, X should be up, B down, etc. but life hands you an Xbox controller and everyone gets super weird the moment you ask about button remapping.

I still can’t quite believe I made this. 7 years, 127,000 words, 330 pages. I won’t ever do anything like it again.

to get shut down on here.

I subscribe to way too many podcasts so of course some get neglected. One of the currently neglected ones is Science Quickly from @sciam.bsky.social. It’s fascinating stuff, but not always what I’m in the mood for.

Just so y'all know; this group is an AIPAC-backed group that wraps Black excellence and capitalism and perverts the language of organizing for white supremacy.

This is city planner @lindseyboylan.bsky.social.

She was the 1st whistleblower to bravely come forward with sexual misconduct allegations against Andrew Cuomo. 12 others joined her. Cuomo resigned as Governor.

His “comeback” never should have been enabled.

She earned this moment more than most.

They're also ignoring the spike in Islamophobic incidents.

It's like an Ouroboros of hate.
I’m quite amazed that all the people concerned that Mamdani’s election is going to potentially lead to a spike in antisemitic incidents are completely ignoring the very real and frightening spike in antisemitic incidents that’s occurred ever since Trump was elected

This reminds me of when my big kid & I were in Mount Vernon doing poll site visibility for Bowman. Kid insisted on giving a flyer to the Latimer guy who was there. Guy takes the flyer & says, “I’m just out here for my job. I’m voting for the black guy!” This one will have a happier ending on E Day.

TLDR; below article #VOTE for #zohran on row D, the working families party line! these chats were so funny i love nyc via @cassiewillson_ Via @politico: Cuomo fought efforts to raise the minimum wage before boosting it as governorAs governor, he fought early efforts from advocates to raise the minimum wage and tie it to inflation before mounting national pressure called on him to act.Andrew Cuomo rallied with several unions Wednesday to announce his plan to push for a $20 minimum wage by 2027 — citing his success as governor in raising the state’s minimum wage to $15 per hour in 2016.But the former political director of one of the city’s largest unions remembers it differently — it was Cuomo who remained the biggest obstacle to boosting the minimum wage in the state, until the push for a $15 minimum went national in 2015 and pressured him to act.“He only got to $15 after massive national campaign pressure and a commitment from SEIU to basically run a multimillion-dollar ad campaign” said Alison Hirsh, who was the political director and vice president for building service workers union 32BJ SEIU at the time.Hirsh recalled staunch opposition from Cuomo and his administration before they finally got on board with the increase, adding: “It had nothing to do with actually giving a shit about workers, he just wanted to be able to say, as he had contemplated a national profile, that he was the first in the country to do it, because the winds changed.”View all comments

⭐ After quite some time in the making, I’m excited to share our new paper!🌿⭐

We examined people's climate-relevant behaviors (driving, air travel, public transport use, and meat consumption) and their perceptions of how feasible it would be to change them (+ expected wellbeing impacts).

Is because aise it helps stop , scams , grift and emotional manipulation

You can’t work?

You should be safe !

You don’t want to work ? ….. it’s harder for you to use. Manipulation and abuse to decimate people

If cutting SNAP lowers the demand for food it would mean people are dead.

Cutting food dollars shifts WHAT people buy but uhm people still gotta eat.

I just saw a video that said cutting SNAP would lower food prices because it would cut demand.

I'm starting to think that Econ 101 either needs to be drastically overhauled or that you cannot take it unless you commit to taking four econ courses one heavily focused on externalities and elasticity.

Told my class about the compact that college presidents are considering and they hadn’t heard of it. Makes me think that more faculty might talk about it with students since it would impact the future of their education.

He resigned as governor 4 years ago in the face of multiple scandals. He’s shown no contrition whatsoever. He gets a free pass every time a camera is in front of his face, and he’s a carpetbagger on top of it all.
