Might the false accusation and murder of Venezuelan fishermen wake up enough Members of Congress to save our democracy? If that happens, those individuals will be heroes in death and their nexts of kin should be well compensated.
“I think” is how a system run by a king or a dictator works. Here, we have a rule of law that says no one, and that includes the government, can murder people on a whim because it “thinks” they’re up to no good.

I’ve been listening to “Coming Up Short,” @rbreich.bsky.social ‘s important, truth-telling memoir and political/economic history of 20th century US. Explains why the GOP is a party of oligarchs and fascists and why the Democratic Party failed to meet the needs of working/middle class Americans.
