Finished this one last night and it was utterly delightful! I really love this series and I can't wait for the next one.

The funny thing is I don't think I would have picked this up on my own - I got the first one as a Blind Date with a Book from my favorite bookstore. What a win!

I made deviled eggs for lunch and they were delicious.

Sometimes I forget this is a thing that I can just make a couple of, rather than waiting for an occasion.

Is there a German word for the phenomenon where your spouse never turns off lights that they're finished with, but randomly turns off lights that you turned on and are actively using, "out of habit"?

one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

We have a patient at my clinic who does 3D printing for fun, and makes all kinds of random stuff for us as gifts.

So yesterday he was telling me how he found a new filament that's soft and flexible and skin-safe...you see where this is going.

Brings all new meaning to ACAB.
In 1999, a woman named Jessica Gonzales sought and obtained an order of protection against her physically abusive husband ("AH"), who had repeatedly threatened to kill her and their three children. The order included language specifically limiting when and where AH was allowed to see the children.

The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon
