I'm a student in Computer Science who likes collecting physical media and complaining about tech that lets me down
Yes, even on 11 pro. I tested it. #FuckMicrosoft

This is the reason I prefer physical media over privacy. I like to watch my movies in english, my family prefers french dubbed, dvds offers both without having to download the movie twice. And you are guaranteed to have a certain quality too.
Back when literally NO ONE (especially the studio industry) knew what DVD’s were for in the 90’s, anime fans were the first to explain the necessity of subtitles, dual audio, chapters, and permanent physical ownership. 💿😎👍

My newest addition to my #PhysicalMedia collection:

Fullmetal alchemist (2003).

Some people ask me why I love dvds and blue-rays so much. Well, this is it. There is currenly no way to watch this series legally, unless you got it physical when they were still beimg sold

Friendly reminder that if you're using an ender 3 you should absolutely ditch the horrible default extruder for a dual gear one as soon as possible

Hm. My 3d printer is forcing me to do some maintenance stuff instead of being lazy. Inconsiderate!

"vibe coding" is a phrase wasted on AI nonsense. these fuckers don't know that REAL vibe coding is when i'm tackling a project way above my skill level and i still manage to succeed at whatever i'm doing. now those are real vibes. not that claude shit

My phone has approximately 40000x the processing power of the first computer to run tetris, yet it takes forever to load the game, which now has updates in the hundreds of MBs...what happened to keeping things lean?

They replaced it for a regular machine at my local restaurant!

I guess complaing on social media does pay off sometimes 😂
I hate subway soda machines with the huge screen.

I'm setting up Chrome on one of my users's new laptop and it's been a while since I used that browser. It now has a search tool to find opened tabs now? That's crazy. And also very cursed, I hate it. Please close your tabs...

Going to the pub used to be a staple of the working class life, now it's becoming a treat like going to a restaurant. This is wrong.

I’m getting to the age where I’m pretty sure everything is a scam. Unknown number? Scam. Facebook friend request? Scam. Movie over 90 minutes? Scam. Person being nice to me? Definitely a scam.

The "Boss makes a dollar I make a dime, that's why [your action here] on company time" is absolutely beholden to the Ghost Rider Rule: if you think you can make it better, no you cant.
Shit on company time encourages even passive rebellion; longer versions just highlight generations of failures.

Adobe express seems to be down and the group chat is full of people in full melt down that they’re unable to deliver key assets…

THIS is why you cannot trust online tools. If you’re doing anything professionally you need stuff that’ll work offline.

Salesforce is like buying a mercedes off marketplace. Seems awesome at first, but turns out to be a large money pit. And by the time you get to nitice, you're already in too deep. "Might as well invest some more"... But no matter how much money you pour into it, it's never really gonna be great

I like when youtubers put the title in the thumbnail, because then I know what language the video's in. It's so fucking annoying that every title is automatically translated, and that apparently can't be turned off

I used to prefer android because it gave more control to the user. Now I feel like it's worse than IOS, at least samsung's version of it.

Hot take: LED headlights on cars aren't even that blinding and annoying as people claim they are. Look at the road, not at the oncoming car like a deer and you'll be fine

Would you be comfortable, as an artist, if a client asked you for screenshots of the process to prove that you're not using AI? On one hand I see how it could be insulting. On the other, I'm beginning to worry people might start selling AI designs for a quick buck.

in an era of people squeezing out content out of ai tubes i see literally sharing your video project, raw files, notes and anything about your creative process in a github type beat kinda thing as a potential way to let people see “how the sausage is made”

It only recently occurred to me that twitter is horse shit because you get paid for interaction. If you get paid for interaction, you’d just say the most incendiary shit as a full time job, I’m sure it’s a small to decent living.

It’s a shit website simply because there’s incentive to make it shit

Me: Uh huh. Carry on.

Internet user: Their business practices are horrific and their workers are exploited.

Me: Yes, good analysis, excellent.

Internet user: Which is why people who depend on the product for survival are Bad

Me: Sigh.
