Golden Retriever Council has been called to order. The agenda is simple, urgent, and deeply important: Item 1: Who Gets the Stick. Rose opens the proceedings by gripping the stick firmly, clearly nominating herself as Chair. Bleu immediately objects on the grounds that he is obviously the most qualified—he’s larger, fluffier, and therefore must have seniority. Ruby, meanwhile, has appointed herself Secretary of Snacks and is taking detailed notes in her head like: “Step 1: Acquire stick. Step 2: Eat stick.” The debate intensifies. Rose argues the stick chose her. Bleu insists he has antigravity paws and therefore should lead all woodland operations. Ruby responds by simply pulling harder, which in golden retriever diplomacy counts as a formal rebuttal. At some point, the stick itself begins regretting all its life choices. Tracks swirl behind them like a snowbound flowchart of questionable decision-making. Shadows stretch across the powder as if even the sun has paused to watch this extremely serious, extremely wiggly negotiation. In the end, the council reaches a unanimous conclusion: Everyone gets the stick. At the same time. Forever.
