Don't get the impression I hate Nintendo by the way. I can be critical of the big N, because they're not perfect. Nothing is. But regardless, they're not the only thing out there for me.

I don't actually think all games should be that. Very much unlike people who demand no games ever have lives systems or timers and that every game cater for their type B personality's OCD 100% completionist tendencies.

I love this game. Also known as Monster World III (don't get me started on the series' confusing nomenclature), it's probably every bit as good as the much-vaunted The Dragon's Trap - despite being a VERY slow-starter.

Played through the original NES Super Mario Bros. today. Must be the zillionth time; I acknowledge (and admire) its historic legacy. Whilst simultaneously thinking the game has aged to the point where we should collectively stop pedestaling it as one of the platform genre's best.

I think a large part of my creative burnout has come from the fact that I (rather stupidly) consume content by people who have wildly different preferences to the kind of stuff I want to create.
It leaves me feeling like it's pointless to even try; who's gonna like it anyway? etc
