Nasra Ahmed, a 23-year-old US citizen, was arrested and detained by ICE. She was held for TWO DAYS.

ICE agents handcuffed her, called her a racial slur, and she was knocked to the ground so hard she got a concussion.

This cannot continue happening. ICE needs to leave.

The demands are simple: use procedural tools to block the current DHS bill & other ICE funding methods, support legislation already introduced to weaken ICE, commit to a legislative roadmap to eventually dismantle ICE, get retractions from Dems who thanked ICE last summer & support the CPC.

Exactly a year before he was murdered, MLK Jr. gave one of the greatest speeches of his life, a piercing critique of the war in Vietnam. 2,000 people jammed into New York’s Riverside Church to hear him shred the claims U.S. leaders had long made to justify their counterrevolutionary foreign policy.
Exceptional Victims
The resistance to the Vietnam War was the most diverse and dynamic antiwar movement in U.S. history. We have all but forgotten it today.

relatedly please send funds to @supplydepotmpls.bsky.social. ICE might suffer in this weather but our unhoused neighbors definitely will without support!!!!
It’ll be dangerously cold this weekend in the Twin Cities. Windchills will reach -20°. With how violently ICE is grabbing people, they might not be dressed for the weather, especially if ICE keeps dumping people miles from their home or car without their phone. Frostbite hits quickly at these temps.

Hey folks Calvary Food Shelf has been helping out people in Minneapolis for 30 years, and now they’re ramping up to meet the crisis, including doing home deliveries so people don’t have to risk going out.

They’re just over halfway to their current goal—let’s get them all the way, shall we?

This week, I talk to @tamaranopper.bsky.social about abolition in practice — how people learn through engagement with state violence, what gets in the way of developing shared analysis, and why abolitionists need to take recruitment and counter-recruitment seriously.

Hey, uhh, so swastikas and nooses are now categorized as “potentially divisive” for the Coast Guard, not hate symbols. “Potentially divisive” to who? If you’re not a literal Nazi, it’s pretty damn divisive.

In the 1940s, America defeated fascism. We must do so again, for the sake of our neighbors.
WarMonitor on X: ""U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify the swastika, an emblem of fascism and white supremacy inextricably linked to the murder of millions of Jews and that more than 400,000 U.S. troops died fighting against in World War II, as a hate symbol." https://t.co/GTjUtawLaW" / X

Every church in the country should be doing this.
NEW: Churches in Charlotte are hosting trainings on how to response to ICE agents — with *hundreds* filling pews.

At one training, a child led those gathered in "This Little Light of Mine" — but changed the words to “All around Border Patrol, I’m gonna let it shine" religionnews.com/2025/11/20/a...
As ICE descends on Charlotte, faith leaders draw on other cities' actions to aid immigrants
(RNS) — As many as 500 people, a mix of clergy and other volunteers, have appeared at the training sessions on how to counter ICE.

Today we are again reminded why PRIDE isn't about rainbows and parades. It's about standing with the LGBTQ human beings and pushing back against the bigots and the bullies, no matter what it costs us.
