The issue of gender-affirming care for trans minors is just one small slice of a much larger fight: adultism. Bigotry against children worldwide. Millions, possibly billions, of parents who think it’s legitimately impossible for their child to be right about anything - especially when disagreeing.

a) “girl” is infantilizing. It comes from the Old English for ANY CHILD. And it’s a word we too frequently apply to adult women.
