PSA: Fans of mince pie alternatives, go for Aldi over Lidl. The Aldi Caramelised Apple Crumble ones aren't as good as previous years (why add caramel??) and there are only 4 in a pack this year (chiz), but the Lidl versions are anaemic and flavourless by comparison, despite a bigger pack. #xmasfood

As usual when Labour are in power, they wag their fingers over things tangential to real issues they aren't going to tackle and fill their legislative agenda with stuff nobody wants (ID cards), while refusing to touch any vaguely progressive ideas lest they anger Daily Mail Tories who hate them.

30 years in IT so take your pick. Anyone need SunOS 4.0 installing on a Sun 3 workstation from QIC tape?
What skill did you master that you will never, ever use again?

I can disassemble and reassemble a 700 series telephone. Not expecting ever again to rejuvenate a carbon granule microphone by slapping it.

By the way everyone, what right-wing politicians say about immigrants is literally also what they believe about you.

We're watching the wholesale burning of every scrap of dignity afforded to trans people in the UK, their rights, their medical services, their employment, their place within society, their bodily functions.

It is a disgrace, and a disgusting stain on the government and media of this country.

What’s the worst question someone can ask after you tell them your profession? For linguists, it’s definitely “how many languages do you speak?”, but I’m curious what else is happening to the rest of y’all out there?!

Yes, the people cheering Labour in the comments seem to be conveniently forgetting they left 500k children in poverty for a year because they wanted to make a point and only caved under extreme pressure.

I think my most extreme opinion is that we should bring back hanging, specifically and only for Boris Johnson, and that would be morally justifiable.

People are constantly being told the worse thing that could happen to them would be a rise in taxes. So they have to live with bins that aren’t collected, potholes that damage their cars, underfunded schools for their children and at the end of their life cheap care homes or inadequate home care.

Pixar designed Toy Story to be printed on physical film. The Disney renaissance movies were the same.

Today, it's hard to see them as they were meant to be seen. The versions on streaming and home media aren't quite the same films that ruled the '90s:
