My guess is they're going to try to get some "operators" to kidnap Maduro, try to redo the Panama invasion and capture of Noriega, with this serving as the plausible deniability fig leaf, that's not us those are mercenaries trying to get this bounty.
This is the master plan? A Joker bounty?

The plan was leaked by the Russians and no one in America’s historically inept administration knew what anyone else was doing so people started getting behind it because they thought it was official policy.

Putin totally played the US, knowing full well he was up against incompetents and idiots.

As awful as Maduro is, it won't do the Venezuelan people any good if the president starts an unpopular and ineffective war on their behalf. It'll just cause chaos and a hemisphere-wide refugee crisis.
US operations against Venezuela to begin within days.

Covert ops the first move.

It’s sort of weird how we’ve entered the staging phase of a war and yet there seems to be little if any interest from the media.
The US has issued a new NOTAM (Notice to Air Missions) for the entire Venezuelan Flight Information Region, advising of a hazardous security environment amid worsening conditions and heightened military activity in and around Venezuela.

the occam’s razor explanation for greene’s behavior all year is and always has been that she is a maga true believer who increasingly thinks trump and his cabinet have betrayed the movement, and she’s right
“trump is ecstatic to meet the muslim socialist immigrant mayor of new york while MAGA’s strongest soldier from georgia-14 resigns in disgust” is a fucking coalition-breaking disaster for the hard right
no, it’s fucking terrible for trump, lol

Noting the congressional pension is based on service time, it kicks in at 5 years and her retirement date - Jan. 5, 2026 - will be the first business day after she passes five years since her first swearing in. bsky.app/profile/heli...
Any idea why she's quitting then? Her statement isn't very coherent (big surprise), although it would make more sense as an explanation of just not running for re-election.

I am aware that trump is likely just weeks if not days away from seeing Mamdani on tv doing or saying something he doesn’t like and then Truth’in’: oh he was Sooooo nice, and begged like a dog for that Oval Office meeting and the moment he turns around, he talks bad on TRUMP.

Send in the troops?

Trump in a room with a very charismatic person results in like half a day of Trump agreeing with everything that person said, so this has the potential to be very, very funny.
Trump says he’s meeting with “communist” Mamdani at the White House on Friday

Feels like this is all set up for something horrible.
White House has picked very pro-Trump pool reporters for Trump's Oval Office meeting with Mamdani on Friday: TV is Fox and Newsmax; Print is Washington Times and The Telegraph; New Media is Megyn Kelly. Exception is Radio: AURN (whose Black, female correspondent Trump called obnoxious in September)

honestly a toss up whether I’m more disturbed by his casual invocation of war for oil or by his getting the effect of Venezuelan war on oil prices totally backwards
Bessent: "If something happens down in Venezuela, we could really see oil prices go down even more."

Finally pulled the trigger on the ultimate test to determine how many people on here are forty, did "The Search," and sure enough, every day you have multiple accounts mentioning Pogs. If you don't know what pogs are, find a forty-year-old and they will explain.

As a reminder, the media consensus on Trump's social feed is it's meaningless, tawdry, below comment or acknowledgment, and bears no insight into his thinking.

Except for when he's announcing a new war or it's substituting for the federal register and is the only place to learn new tariff terms.

It's very hard not to see this as a reaction to the 'Epstein files' but it really could be for any reason. Trump freaks out all the time and it's hard to say what is causing it. That said Trump's the sort of guy who could end up saying "This is about the Epstein files vote"
This has escalated

Halligan's incompetence is so overwhelming that the practical legal answers of how to unravel the situation devolve to esoteric questions of philosophy.
So arguably the judge can’t dismiss the case because there is, technically, no case!

So again these guys are not so stupid as to actually believe any of this, these are deliberate lies to trick people into thinking that a person is engaging in 'negotiation' when they can't buy insurance because it's too expensive.
Cassidy: "If she goes and gets 2 types of shampoo & one is a dollar cheaper, she'll get the cheaper one & the other lowers their price. Once you give her the power of making the decision, she's gonna shop -- that begins to save her money and squeezes waste out of the healthcare system."

The elephant in the room though is the possibility there really isn't anything more salacious in the files about Trump than we already know, and he's just been freaking out because he thought there were worse things in them or just not wanting his publicly known connection to Ep rehashed in news.

I'm starting to wonder if Trump reverting towards how he treated the press with open contempt as he did in his first term, isn't only reflective of his stress over Epstein, but also reflective of him sensing a vibe shift with them.
Trump in response to an Epstein question: "ABC, your company, your crappy company is one of the perpetrators. I think the license should be taken away from ABC because your news is so fake and so wrong. And we have a great commissioner, a chairman, who should take a look at that."

I feel like people are all so used to stupid bullshit they cannot recognize what this actually is: Spin. This isn't just Trump talking like this it is multiple members of the GOP. It is not off the cuff blather; it is designed to trick people into not objecting to the destruction of Obamacare.
Trump: "THE ONLY HEALTHCARE I'LL SUPPORT OR APPROVE IS SENDING MONEY DIRECTLY BACK TO THE PEOPLE W/ NOTHING GOING TO THE BIG, FAT, RICH INSURANCE COMPANIES, WHO HAVE RIPPED OFF AMERICA LONG ENOUGH. THE PEOPLE WILL BE ALLOWED TO NEGOTIATE & BUY THEIR OWN, MUCH BETTER, INSURANCE. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!"
November 18, 2025 at 5:07 PM
I've seen a bunch of people express mockery and confusion at the GOP talking about fighting insurance markets with direct payments. To be clear, they all understand that this isn't a fight against big business. This is the spin they have decided to use to kill Obamacare.
Trump: "THE ONLY HEALTHCARE I'LL SUPPORT OR APPROVE IS SENDING MONEY DIRECTLY BACK TO THE PEOPLE W/ NOTHING GOING TO THE BIG, FAT, RICH INSURANCE COMPANIES, WHO HAVE RIPPED OFF AMERICA LONG ENOUGH.
