I feel like one of the most underrated explanations for what's happening right now in global politics is that almost everyone has lost their minds.

Why is it that fucking Glass Onion keeps being one of the best movies about American politics?
Trump creates impunity by behaving criminally. But the more criminal he becomes, the worse the consequences if his criminality ever exceeds his impunity. It's a dynamic with an inherent risk of spectacular collapse - he has climbed very high and can therefore fall very, very hard.

Maybe ABC, CBS, and WaPo like being denounced by the White House, at least a little, because they can use that to say they’re not biased in Trump’s favor despite all the objective evidence that they are. Good point.
I think they probably welcome it. They're all hopelessly biased in Trump's favor but having the WH call them out as somehow being "anti-Trump" is brand management for them

The White House’s new anti-media website includes denunciations of:

-ABC, which bribed the president
-CBS, which bribed the president and moved away from fact-based journalism trying to appeal to him and his fans
-WaPo, which spiked a Harris endorsement and tilts coverage in Trump’s favor

Fools.

MAGA stands for freedom of speech for Nazis—but not anyone who opposes them.

That’s…not called freedom of speech.

That’s just simple, old fashioned fascism.

MAGA stands for freedom of speech (with the exception of journalists, elected members of the opposition party, former administration officials, anti-fascists, students, librarians, scientists, federal civil servants, immigrants, and any US citizen who criticizes their lord and savior Donald Trump).

ENCANTO is the most fucked up Disney movie because for the first 90 minutes it’s a whimsical tale about a magical house with no discernible setting or period or any real-world context, and then the emotional climax reveals that the magic’s origin story is refugees fleeing ethnic cleansing
