As someone who spent too much of my life feeling an unearned superiority for being "smart" before I learned better it feels like an ironic punishment how that word has now become code for "a product or feature that's thoroughly smeared in Al shit in a way you will not be able to get the stink off"

It's a shame there wasn't more care given when the skeuomorphic default iconography of computer applications was codified, would be nice if you didn't have to guess whether clicking an icon with a magnifying glass is going to pull up zoom controls or a search function

So apparently the current science suggests Saturn's rings are only a few hundred million years old and will be gone within another hundred million or so, it's pretty cool that lifeforms that would eventually make telescopes and space probes and shit happened to evolve in the right window to see them
