You know I recognize it was naïve but I somehow thought the speed of change in our lifetimes would to some degree inoculate our generation against the cyclical "kids today suck because they don't have the same inconveniences I had and have since internalized as vital character-building" thing

Also it's still such a problem that (in the US) cycling continues to so often be looked at as primarily a sport/recreation thing, so glad there seems to finally be a little more of a shift towards considering transportation cycling in infrastructure etc but there's still such a long ways to go

(imo it's not a great icon for search even if it's become well established as such, a magnifying glass narrows your field of vision on a specified point while search is about taking a broad view to locate something within a wider space)
