The Canadian Lynx (Lynx canadensis) has these giant paws, essentially snow shoes that allow them to distribute their weight on delicate snow surfaces to prevent sinking in.

Up to 98% of their diet is snowshoe hare, so they need to be able to maneuver across snowy surfaces at speed.
A Canadian Lynx stalks across the unbroken white surface of the snow, pausing to look at the camera. Giant floofy paws keep it on the surface of the snow, and a thick coat keeps it warm. It is grey with dark stippling pattern, with lighter grey patches under the chin and at the ankles.
