Yet to come down from last night’s Radiohead gig. We were lucky to get codes and decided we’d stump for vip tickets if that’s all there was, and got front row. I’ve seen them several times, including Glasto ‘97, but last night was perfect, the entire band giving everything. Just… wow. Here’s Jonny…

I love this so much. Jon's side project is a wonderful example of what it means to really love music and how rewarding it is to be a fan.
Side project launch time!

This one is for fans of Stars of the Lid & ambient/classical music. I've made a site in @getkirby.com to archive all the live recordings and of act as 'SOTL’ site as none exists. Adam Wiltzie also provided the previously unseen video footage:

On my journal, I've written up a short piece on how the site came to be:

I have too many side-projects, but I'm easily tempted into new ones. Especially when it involves my favourite band.

Wishing @malarkey a very happy birthday today, and it's not a special milestone at all. Just a normal every year birthday 😘 🎂

After watching this, I wanted to see an updated version of Logopolis, a bit like the remasters of TOS Star Trek. Realistic effects of Tom Baker hanging off the dish and then falling, but…still in a grainy 4:3 1980's telly style.
A tiny bit of the BBC news piece that’s gone out today ✨🔭

The documentary and full piece is now on BBC Sounds & also airs on BBCR4 tomorrow (8th Nov) at 8pm

I've been rather absent from the socials recently, lots of life stuff happening, but also yet another side project (music related), which I'm looking forward to finally launching on Friday. Keen to launch that so I can get back to the neglected side projects!

M&S Ho Ho Ho-Ney Mustard Ham Hock with cheesy Cornish Cove mayo

❄︎ 7/10

A new one from M&S to start Festive Sandwich Reviews 2025. Nice mustard & sharp cheddar flavours, but a posh cheese and ham is more of a festive support than a headliner.

53.

In my twenties, it seemed that all the designers in their fifties had to give up the creative work and become managers. Now that I'm there, I'm relieved it’s still working out for me… I'm just not sure for how much longer!
