Tell me about the book you enjoyed most in 2025. Mine was Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr. A genre-bending novel set in the Middle Ages, the Korean war, the current era, and aboard a space ship in the future. Somehow it all works.

This is a photo from the Vanity Fair article. Notice how they have to arrange it so Stephen Miller is on the end, so it isn’t obvious that there is no reflection of him on the mirrored table.🧛

Smith finally said it out loud...

She doesn't believe that government should be providing any services to Albertans, she believes that private companies should be used universally to provide services.

Faith groups should take care of the vulnerable.

This sounds great until you remember that BC did this exact thing in 2004. They put the result to a referendum in 2005 and it was defeated. No point in a citizens commission if they can be overridden by an uninformed vote

The generation of kid who grew up always needing a snack RIGHT NOW and eating in places like cars and swimming pool change rooms are now in university, and they are absolutely filthy. No respect for even spaces like libraries and computer labs; it's gross.

Had to look up some info for work on the proportion of the population that lives in urban areas. Over 50% globally, and 82% in Canada! How is it then that in Alberta we have a rural-controlled provincial government that is negatively impacting municipalities? 1/2

Trans Albertans are next (Bill 9).

An education system that fosters community & solidarity

Or an education system that favours individual freedom/liberty

But you must make this choice assuming the veil of poverty - not wealth
