Today is the day to repost this meme about International Men's Day, one of the most unironically wholesome memes that has ever been made.

Shoutout to all my fellow champs, chiefs, and kings. ✊

Truly like brothers, they annoy me but I wouldn't have them any other way, and I'll not let others abuse or take advantage of them (that's a big sisters job)

I've been seeing a lot of pixel artists struggle with Bluesky's image compression, so I'd thought I'd share how to get clear, crisp pixels on the site!

Share to help a fellow pixel-artist!

Dreamt about my Dad night before last. There's an appointment I have to get to, I'm going to be late, and it's just him in a room with two chairs and we talk. This time I don't remember what we talked about but yesterday I had so much overwhelming grief. It's been 5 years and it hits like a truck.

Our game Eyes of Hellfire is set in the infamous Hellfire Club, a real-life location in #Dublin that you can hike up to - it's very cool (and spooky!)

@lenhaunts.bsky.social interviewed archaeologist @neiljackman.bsky.social about the club & his archaeological dig there!!

Hey #gamedev #indiedev, pretty cool to see all these accessibility awards flying around eh? Would be handy if someone made a list of what and when they all are and when to submit, right?

Two things can be true: 1.) The Game Awards are meaningless and we shouldn't take them all that seriously. 2.) Award shows of its scale DO rewrite the mainstream history of the art form, whether they deserve to or not, and its okay to care that it's so thoughtless despite having that responsibility.
November 17, 2025 at 6:03 PM
Everything in the mainstream, front facing games industry is riddled with unchecked biases that lead to only the most well funded or well known getting the right kind of recognition for their work.

I would be delighted to be wrong, I beg, please prove me wrong.

Just put the whole menu on one sign on the wall behind you, I am begging. Not spread across multiple images on intermittently changing screens. Not switching to an image-only ad every five seconds. Just the list of things you sell, in full.

Looking for examples of national (scoped to a single country) gamedev awards that have an accessibility category. So far have ADGA (Aus), Pavs (NZ), Pégases (France), Premios Iris (Spain), and MCV Develop/TIGA/Develop Stars (UK). Anyone know of any others?

Happy Harri, went to the local fair, got my high sugar donuts and candy floss and heard music from the rides so loud it felt like my autism got cured

I've heard people say that "sometimes" images are too important not to share, even though they don't have alt text

and my response is that if something is "too important", the matter of accessibility via alt text is then even MORE important

you can do it, I believe in you
