The problem with ICE is not that it's targeting people who aren't criminals. The problem with ICE is that it's an unaccountable secret deportation police. It cannot be reformed under a better president. It can be made less terrible, but the instrument of repression remains for the next tyrant.

Frankly, I think the solution to the Palestine situation is either giving Hezbollah and Netanyahu each a pile of nukes or imposing a liberal democracy completely criminalizing ethnic discrimination. A Palestisrael, if you will.

If a person is not free to be the gender they are, they won't be free to marry the person they love, to speak what's in their heart, or to worship what's sacred to them. Human rights are not separate - suppression of one drags them all down.

One fascinating and yet expected thing is that none of the big foreign accounts pretending to be American are left of center, or even anti-Trump. Not a single one. Says something about the economics and geopolitics of political grifting

It is a TOP priority of the GOP to get rid of vote by mail because they can’t intimidate and challenge voters based on race with mail in voting.
I wish I could believe that Dems will actually fight them on this, but we know Chuck and Hakeem. Whatever the AIPAC position is, is what they will do.

The executive branch needs a severe reigning in back to Constitutional limits. The desire to create a Caesar to handle our crises but it won't be America if we have one.

Any talk comparing prices now with prices in the past should be expressed in a percent of income. Freakin' nobody is using inflation calculators, and even when they do, they never express the variability in income purchasing powers.
