THe idea of Dems is up, but any candidate we can put forward is too flawed, to some demographic or another, to seize that lead.

What finally broke me of my HP fandom ("I can separate the artist from the art!") was two things. The first was that the books are full of ethnocentrism. The second was that you cannot promote an art, ignoring the artist, without keeping it in the zeitgeist and the money flowing to the artist.

And every person who cannot work deserves a living income, too. It's feudal how we focus on work and rent and reduce people to how they can enrich those upstream.
