Ban cars
Always check the rack before locking.
My kids play this game where they take a bite out of an apple, piece it back together and ask “Is it broken or not?”

And I just found the #BikeHfx parking equivalent to this. 😭 (will report)

Halifax MP Andy Fillmore said the project will allow more Haligonians to choose bikes as their primary mode of transportation in a city that was “built in a way that prioritizes cars over bicycles and other modes of transportation.”

Halifax should paint the bus lanes blue and call it the harbour hopper

This is where I don't support Toronto's LRT. Spending billions of dollars to have a service that's slower than bus. Too close stop spacing & insufficient transit signal priority.
At $240M/km, Finch West LRT is…

- MORE expensive per-km than the Sheppard Subway

- 2X the per-km cost of the Montreal REM & underground metros in other developed nations

… for a tram that’s SLOWER than a bus in traffic.

Let’s not mislead the public; Line 6 should be the 536 Finch West streetcar!

This 2.5 hour high speed rail ticket from Seoul to Busan cost $39.72 per person, booked about a month out.

The Busan Metro takes “it’s fucking quiet in here” to a whole other level, with sound levels lower Lex/63rd but while ON THE TRAIN. Sometimes it’s just weirdly quiet and the HVAC isn’t running and there’s no noise at all.

Bus priority infrastructure in Asian cities always stuns me. Our electric bus (that runs every 10 minutes) is speeding down a center running bus lane.

It’s a ~40 minute ride to dinner and I’m seriously enjoying it.

Busan’s Gwahgbok-ro Fashion Street is a fantastic curved roadway design to force low vehicle speeds, and is fully pedestrianized on weekends.

Streets are for people, etc. l

I'd like to see Bombardier Flexity on Halifax's streets!
Nothing better than a cozy bar in the winter.

Airport water bottles are unreasonably expensive. $4.69 for a bottle of 500mL water?

Right at the corner of Parkside and Howard Park.

No one with power was serious about protecting pedestrians here. There were years to fix Parkside Drive before Ford made it nearly impossible.
Pedestrian struck by motorist on Parkside a block from the speed camera that vigilantes kept tearing down that caused ford to remove them from all Ontario. Drive as you wish Ontario. Nobody matters. This is what you voted for.

Normal city prevents this from happening because the city sweeps the streets daily early in the morning. There aren't normal cities in North America.

Good thing that I'm held up in Toronto. Otherwise, a few HRM councillors would have a long day tomorrow over a 5 minute chat with me.

If Nova Scotia were to host data centres, NS needs at least one nuclear power plant or a massive hydro power plant.
The main reason any state needs energy is because data centers are hogging it …🔻
