ALSO: I think a lot of this “this dog hates men/women” shit is an unintentional abstraction of “this dog is selective with people regardless” or “this dog hates feeling crowded and does not want to be loomed over or spoken to in deep tones”.
The “this animal is said to be scared of cis women/men and it hates me/hurt me, yay affirmation” meme needs to die.
Maybe it’s cuz I work with animals, but I don’t think getting snapped at is affirming! Plus, it’s a gamble whether the animal is fine/warms up or not IME.
