This should be the biggest story in the country right now. The sitting US President was extorting state lawmakers from his own party by threatening to withhold public money if they didn’t gerrymander for him.

Dan Goldman was lead counsel for House Dems during the 1st impeachment inquiry, introduced a bill to place a 20% excise tax on loans & lines of credit backed by capital assets, has secured 160 million to improve NYC’s climate resiliency, & is a great “fighter” & messenger. This is a waste of time.

NY should definitely throw over one of the best investigators in Congress, an invaluable member of the first Trump impeachment team, because Brad Lander (who did not have the political chops to secure the Mamdani admin job he wanted) is accessible to NYC photographers

The TN-7 special election showed a similar blue shift to the November elections, which means there are a couple dozen incumbent Republicans currently freaking out today.

DOJ says immigration judges, as "inferior officers," may be fired on the basis of sex, religion, race, or national origin. Leaving aside the law, it's *politically* remarkable they're taking this position.

As explained further below, however, your status as an inferior officer under Article II of the Constitution renders you an “at-will” employee, and your removal is beyond the purview of Title VII. Regarding your client’s claim that her employment as an Immigration Judge was terminated, this decision was a lawful exercise of the Attorney General’s authority under Article II of the Constitution. Article II of the Constitution allows the President and heads of departments exercising his power to remove inferior officers without cause, subject to only narrow exceptions that do not apply to your former position. No statute provides otherwise, and even if it did, the statute would run afoul of Article II.

Habba is not the Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey by virtue of her appointment as First Assistant U.S. Attorney because only the first assistant in place at the time the vacancy arises automatically assumes the functions and duties of the office under the F VRA. Additionally, because Habba was nominated for the vacant U.S. Attorney position, the FVRA's nomination bar prevents her from assuming the role of Acting U.S. Attorney. Finally, the Attorney General's delegation of all the powers of a U.S. Attorney to Habba is prohibited by the FVRA's exclusivity provision. Therefore, we will affirm the District Court's disqualification order.

The funny thing about SCOTUS' almost maximum cowardice strategy of saying no only under the most ludicrously extreme circumstances is that said strategy guarantees reaching those circumstances *frequently* as Trump tries to push up to (and beyond) the very limit of the abuse he can get away with.

The “America First” crowd was right about foreigners taking american jobs, at least as far as the job of “right wing propagandist” is concerned. If I were conservative I might do a little soul searching about being so easily manipulated but I’m sure we’ll find out why it’s really the left’s fault
