Today on Volts: the subset of cleantech known as "electrotech" -- solar, batteries, heat pumps, etc. -- is marching toward inevitable victory, not because it's low-emissions (though it is), but because it's more efficient & cheaper. I discuss the good news with @kingsmillbond.bsky.social.
Clean electrification is inevitable
Kingsmill Bond explains why the global march of "electrotech" has moved beyond the reach of US political interference.

The more likely story is that she just wanted to share the fact she can afford Smeg and Le Creuset brands.

Anyway, shall we start a go fund me for her?

Bye gas network; had our gas meter removed today

4 years ago our aging (23 yr old) gas boiler was replaced with an air-source heat pump. 3 weeks ago our aging (26 yr old) cooker/ gas hob was replaced with new electric cooker/ induction hob. So we could finally disconnect from the gas grid. Yay!

Farage can now be easily boxed in to a corner where his only ‘defence’ becomes: “Yes I spouted Kremlin propaganda & Putin worship but, unlike Nathan Gill, I didn’t need bribes to do it.”
It is, once again, a question of whether interviewers have the temerity to shut down his whining obfuscations.

Ha, assuming it is a Deltic (i'm no expert) there was a toilet and wash basin in there, along with an air compressor, CO2 tanks.
One thing I hadn't thought about this old UK diesel engine is what on earth is in the 'nose'????

Maybe a bed or a little tea break area ?😀

Joking of course, but most old UK diesels are flat at the front, eg Class 22, 29, 31 etc.

Electricity generation from coal in India has dropped in the first 10 months of 2025, with renewables covering for all the growth in electricity use.

Noting, growth in electricity use is rather low...
