Few things I love as much as a public transport Xmas jumper, here worn by one of our fab Oxford bus drivers.

Mine is a TfL one (less interesting tbh, but still good!)
I've got a new Christmas jumper this year, what do you think?

It was created by my talented friend @nattj.bsky.social

Had a lovely evening in Oxford last night, despite the smoky air. Great to see two local pubs – the Old Bookbinders and the Lamb & Flag – doing their bit by not burning wood and keeping the air clean! #FireplaceFlip #WoodBurning @mumsforlungs.bsky.social

Solidarity with the hunger strikers.

It is an egregious violation for them to be held on remand - without trial or conviction.

All for protesting against a genocide. Shameful.

Very excited to see that @oxfordshirecc.bsky.social has just been upgraded to an ATE L3 for Active Travel. That makes it one of only 11 nationwide, and one of only two County Councils. Means more money and more focus on this key area of active travel.

Oxfordshire County Council has just published data on the first month of the congestion charge! Love the level of granularity.

In summary, huge speed up in bus times in city centre, slight increase on some outer roads; massive city centre footfall growth.

A great Full Council today. Personal highlights were hearing from @andrewgant.bsky.social about how much of a difference Oxfordshire’s free bus travel for asylum seekers is making; @maggieflpv.bsky.social & Emma Markham’s pro-migrant motion, and wearing my public transport Xmas jumper in chamber.

More details in the Clarion's post below, and whilst I obviously love the pic of me & 3 activists from other parties singing carols, just LOOK at these train ridership growth figures!

Oxford station +20% vs 7% nationally. Love to see it. ❤️🚂
