The importance of visibility on our roads cannot be understated, particularly for vulnerable road users including pedestrians, cyclists, e-scooter drivers and motorcyclists.

Yesterday I was watching Great TV channel & saw a regular piece in the adverts about this product that's basically a plant based alternative to eggs. I would be interested in the ingredients, cost of it compared to eggs & shelf life in the fridge once opened. www.independent.co.uk/life-style/f...

Given that the BBC endlessly gives platforms to lobbyists from the dark money junktanks without revealing their interests, shouldn't we be seeing such apologies every day?

Better still, how about not doing it? If they want to appear, we should know on whose behalf they are speaking.

'Climate vandalism'. A phrase which exactly describes any increase in flying, one of the most hungry fossil fuel activities
Exactly. This isn't progress, it's climate vandalism. Pouring public money into destroying towns and our environment for a handful of extra flights shows where the government's priorities lie: with aviation giants, not people or the planet.
Any Heathrow expansion will devastate nearby villages and undermine environmental goals.

The Government chose the most expensive, disruptive third runway option - risking years of delays for questionable economic benefit.

A small nugget of good news.
So it looks like Rachel Reeves has *not* abolished or cut back the cycle to work scheme. Perhaps she has read the Treasury's own 2023 assessment of the scheme, which found that in terms of creating modal shift, and thus boosting public health, it is very, very effective.
