I feel like caves of qud's controller setup is so good that it should just become the canonical controller layout for roguelikes from now on. it's so good I might actually prefer it to mouse and keyboard. Wildly underappreciated revolutionary genre work in that one element alone

got suddenly cold midway during the day and haven't been able to warm up. it coincided with snowfall, so something to do with humidity, perhaps? very annoying. should lie down with hot water bottle, but i want to be up and doing things. might have shoveled too much snow this morning too... mystery.
