Obviously, elections in Virginia, New Jersey, and California don't have a lot of predictive value for a race in Kansas, ... but I have to imagine that tonight's results might have shifted the odds on the question of whether Sharice Davids decides to run for the Senate.

I gotta give it up to the writers tho. If NYC elects a Muslim mayor on the day Dick Cheney died, that is one hell of a slow played story arc. Every time you want to fire 2025's writers room they give you a little narrative resolution as a treat.

We need a bigger national spotlight on this building raid, fam. Agents dropped from helicopters onto the roof. Citizens and non-citizens alike were dragged from their homes in the night. People who weren't kidnapped during the raid had their belongings seized after the fact. This is madness.

To put a finer point on it, Pritzker is being presidential in a way Newsom is not. Newsom is doing a decent job trolling Trump for the lulz, but Pritzker is speaking with the gravitas this situation warrants, promising real accountability, with federal, state and local leaders standing behind him.
