Jesse Jackson appeared on Sesame Street in 1973.

During his appearance, he led a group of children in reciting his well-known poem “I Am Somebody,” a message focused on self-worth and empowerment

The segment became one of the most memorable celebrity appearances from the early seasons of the show.

I don’t really know what I expect in posting this, but maybe some people see it and can learn from it.

I’ll call it “lessons from an unwilling immigration attorney.”

While most comics histories list Popeye's first appearance as 1929, they are overlooking his work before he became a man of the sea.

The Administration has threatened investigation and charges under the FACE Act for protestors - and Don Lemon — for a protest at a St. Paul church where one of the pastors is an ICE official.

There are stupid responses to this, which get on my last fucking nerve, and arguable responses to this.

I love when you tell people how terrible Newsom is, they're always like, "Well, it's nice to have ideals, but if it comes down to him or the Nazi in the general, *I* am going to vote for him"

WE'RE TELLING YOU HOW TERRIBLE HE IS NOW SO IT'S *NOT* A CHOICE BTW HIM & A NAZI, CARL. THAT'S THE POINT.

Thread. It's beautiful.
For many years I have been posting little observations online. What you may not know is that for many years, artists have been illustrating them - for no reason other than they wanted to respond. Below is a thread of some of these beautiful drawings because they should be seen 🧵

I promised you some good news after a bleak week.

Here it is. This is one of the most wrenching wrongful convictions I've ever written about.

It is wonderful to see Charlie out and off to his new home.
