Our internet was down this morning & my 7 year old's tablet wasn't charged, so I told her I can put a DVD on. She asked if she could load it so I guided her on how to do it safely. Then, in a moment that warmed my heart she said "This is so cool!" And it was a movie she is already a fan of 😭💓

I saw THE PRINCESS BRIDE in theater in '87. I was 7 or 8. Instantly quotable. Watched it over & over again on VHS. Last year I got to show it to my daughter and she loved it too. The gift of a timeless classic. And Rob Reiner had multiple. I just can't fathom this tragedy. RIP to a legend.

On my @letterboxd.social watchlist now! Travis @aheartofgould.bsky.social called this a "Cassavetes castlevania of toxic love and vampiric sex" which not only makes me want to watch it immediatley but displays in a phrase why he's one of the best film writers out there.
I better see this film on all your Halloween watchlists this October.
