My favourite fungi to photograph are the ones that look like band pics, you know the ones, a lead singer at the front with the rest slightly in the background looking bored? This one looks like a choir though.

The last few weeks I've been waking up very stiff in my lower back, just around my hips.
The last couple of days have been suddenly much better. Then I realised it might be due to the anti-inflammatories I'm on for something else. Must remember to tell my doctor next week.

I went to #SheffieldUniversity, and grew up in #Hethersett, the same village that tonight's team captain on #UniversityChallenge is from. So two reasons to root for them, and I'm delighted they won, but I was so glad when Strathclyde finally started to score.

This week I made mousse, using locally sourced organic blackberries (ie from my neighbour's neglected garden).
I was very pleased with how it looked in these glasses, so took a pic to show the friend who gave them to me.
The mousse was good too.

So it turns out that baking powder really does have an expiry date. My lemon drizzle cake looked lovely when I took it out of the oven; golden brown and level.
It just hadn't risen much.
It's still actually quite light & very tasty. All the slices I took to D & D get eaten.

I was wearing the T-shirt and wanted a shirt to go over it in the evening. I don't have anything that goes with it, only things that either look wrong, or clash. So I decided that if I was going to clash, I would clash properly.

I want to phone Ven & vent at her about how yet another light/urban/low fantasy novel I just read turned out to be style over substance. 2D characters, historical/social errors, illogical plotting etc.
But our last call went on for 2 hours, & I have stuff to do tonight.
