Today is International Human Rights Day: a commemoration of the United Nations General Assembly's adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948.

In these times of conflict and division it’s imperative that we stand up for our human rights, in the UK and across the globe.

BREAKING: The Lib Dems 10-minute rule bill to rejoin the customs union has just passed!

After a 100-100 tie the deputy speaker followed convention and cast the deciding vote in favour.

It’s unlikely to get government time so probably won't progress - but indicates strength of feeling on this issue

Humans who ‘contribute’ valued only as money making machines is also quite degrading.
This is so disgusting.

Striking geographic pattern for where parties have been winning principal authority council by-elections since May.

(The part of the UK cropped out hasn't had any.)

One might even says this... looks like a two-party system?

A very interesting programme on world news and events on BBC2, should be advertised and watched more widely #bbcglobaleye

As the vulture population plummets, dogs multiply and rabies spreads.

The sequence, triggered by human action, carries a warning that many scientists consider to be a sixth mass extinction: When we endanger other species, we endanger ourselves.
Humans killed millions of vultures. Now people are paying the price.
The near-extinction of vultures in India has had severe consequences.

There are flyers circulating and even mailers showing up in people’s mailboxes in Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District that list the wrong date for the upcoming special election. Voters are being told to vote on the incorrect day.

BBC News is also a good example. Historically technocratic, sees the world is changing, attempts to compensate through bothsidesism (effectively procedural populism), fails to please anyone and in so doing compromises its essential quality (technocracy).
Combine those various factors and you get the current Labour government and its weird mix of economic and social policies and at the same time its apparent inability to make progress / do better.

Im already contributing by having my wages suppressed for 2 decades. Take it from those who have deliberately suppressed my wages in order to give themselves more, the finance industry whom WE bailed out, the employers who WE gave furlough money too, the CEO who have taken assets instead of wages!
