I’ve been trying to find ways to articulate my hatred of AI-generated music that won’t come across as snobbish, but most of what I have to say about it can be boiled down to this:
None of the artists I like in any genre, regardless of era, make music that can be accurately predicted by a computer.

Also, the gospel in D'Angelo's vocal stems is majestic. Gospel is the foundation for so many great artists. I, too, wanted to clap when they pulled those stems.

This was a phenomenal episode. I had no idea the bass line was sampled; I thought Pino Palladino was playing the hardest bass line in his locker (I never cracked the liner notes). Premo is a god among men. The sensei.

My parents got into disputes with friends and wanted better for their seed. Plus, the silent generation folks I spent time with played Great Depression games and spades was not one of them.
