I will give so much money to any unified “primary them all” PAC
John Fetterman, Angus King, Maggie Hassan, Dick Durbin, Jon Ossoff, Jeanne Shaheen, Kirsten Gillibrand, Catherine Cortez Masto, Mark Warner, Cory Booker, and of course Chuck Schumer. Maybe others not top of mind. Not all responsible will publicly vote for the cave - that's not how this works.

You know what Marvel movies need? More cats. I think Fawkes could go toe to toe with some of Hollywood's best (looking).

This is Ophelia. She is one of 21 dogs who need emergency medical care after they were exposed to parvo and adenovirus in the shelter. They require hospitalization and round-the-clock monitoring to survive. You can donate to their urgent care below ❤️🩹

I love this. Fuck defeatism.
#Gerrymandered and fired up? Fight back—run for office, even when the map is rigged. Can’t Win Victory Fund helps “can’tidates” in impossible districts make noise, grow the vote for up-ballot races and push for fair maps—and yes, we make it fun.

Is there a way to make this actually real? Who has the power to make this happen?
AI and Crypto data centers need to be the first ones to lose power in a brown out.

I'm a descriptivist at my core, but there are some ongoing changes that make me *twitch* and wonder if there isn't some way to abort this timeline. (To be fair there are a LOT of reasons to want to alter this timeline and linguistic changes are the least of them...but still...)
The more I see people using "casted" instead of "cast" the more I realize that I am a grumpy old fart who only wants to see the language evolve in my preferred directions, nevertheless I will happily judge you for it if I catch you doing it, look, my dude, the accepted past tense is shorter okay

Well this is horrifying.
I can get to Audrey Hepburn in "three hops" yet it goes without saying I have as much connection to her and her world as I do to Never Never Land.

Off the top of my head, in terms of degrees of separation I managed to get from myself to *Jimi Hendrix* in "three hops," this is a WILD assertion to make

This is Katya. She was found as a stray with severe luxating patellas in two legs making it painful to walk. Thanks to your support of our merch @15outof10.org was able to cover her $7,800 lifelong medication and bloodwork to keep her comfortable. She's already feeling better AND she found a home ❤️🩹

Good news/Bad news time. My little old lady (OL*) has been on Rx kidney food a couple days now. She's notoriously picky & been hospitalized in the past for refusal to eat & it's hard to find food she likes. Happily *knocks on wood* she LOVES the Rx dry so far. Alas, she hates the wet. #cat #ckdcat

who creates the lively art and music scenes if the rent is too high? who makes cultural life? who serves you food or washes your dishes? who creates the fancy little restaurants that draw you to urban living? affordable housing is at the heart of what makes city life worthwhile.

Reminder/heads up for fellow Utahns. Our legislature knows no shame.

Words don't have meaning anymore. What the hell even is a "resilient economy" if only the rich can afford anything?
NYT made an astounding discovery: the rich have money, the poor don't.

Received news today that my other cat, my little old lady (L.O.L) is at the edge of (and maybe already in) Stage 3 Kidney failure. I don't know what I'll do if I lose both my girls in a handful of months.

It's hard to help Americans left behind because so much of US identity is rooted in individualism. The average American conservative holds all three positions at once:
— Virtue signals about supporting US manufacturing
— Against raising the minimum wage
— Buys foreign imports because they're cheap

I am so weary of that class of extremely online leftists who think being a Serious Person™️ who only posts and does nothing else is superior to being a Fun Person™️ who physically shows up
I deleted a post of me in a frog suit with my 7-yr old daughter because a big account reposted, admonishing us for not being serious enough protestors (or something). I shouldn’t have included my daughter in the image, which was why I deleted it. But I was stunned by the condescension.

North Americans spent 20 years yelling at each other half-understood soundbites from sociology class but fundamentally that has still failed to stop them from actually understanding what "race isnt real" actually means.
