I'm just flummoxed a con would ever include a morality clause. You're not a representative of the con, you're not an employee, you are a GUEST making an appearance. One of presumably many. Nothing you do outside the con reflects on it in any way.

Having a morality clause is creepy and controlling.

Much Ado About Nutting actually fits really well with the pun in Shakespeare title it's a play on 😂. ("Nothing" was English slang for female genitalia)

I mean shortly after the pandemic an email from the CEO of Kroger got leaked where he was gloating about how they were using the supply chain issue to sneak in price hikes well beyond what the supply chain problems were actually costing them. And after it leaked...absolutely nothing changed.

As someone who loves (and has always lived) in the actual West, this has always seemed super weird to me.

At the beginning of the year Charlie Kirk, Chris Rufo & Richard Hanania ragged on ASL interpreters as being "a farce," "a distraction," unnecessary (because CC exists) & taking up half the screen. Another (can't remember who) complained "they're shoving it in our face!"

No idea what that means.

motivation is waning.

Even if lore & story ideas never make it into the comic directly, if they give you a deeper understanding of your story or the characters & keep you curious and motivated, then they serve the purpose of the comic.

story. Trying to figure out how a character would act in a situation in the AU gave me insight I might never have had otherwise to how the character would react in canon. I now have 40-ish 'official' AUs that I use to explore the characters, test storylines, and hold my interest in the novel when

I write a lot of AUs for the novel I've been working on for years. I used to feel guilty, spending so much time on stories & lore no one would see and want that wasting time I should be spending on the *actual* story? Then when working on one AU in had a major realization about a problem in the main

I think there are GCs who genuinely see trans rights as a threat to women's rights & that it's possible to disrupt the cognitive dissonance that enables this.

Possible =/= easy & I don't know how to tell thecosplayers (probably many) from the savable (probably few) or what we do about that.

I started learning about them, once I started meeting people from different backgrounds & hearing their experiences, I came to see that conservatism did NOT support my core values & began a long, slow shift left. My principles never changed, my perception of where I could best live them did. I think

Equality. Raised religious conservative I genuinely believed the left took away personal freedoms to advantage specific groups which was unequal & unjust. I believed racism was just bad behavior by individuals & reverse racism was real. I'd never heard of systemic racism or similar concepts but once

I think both happen. I believe it is very difficult to change one's core values, and that cosplaying is more common, but I also know from personal experience that you can have solid core values but come to see the other side as a better representation of those values.

My core was always Justice &
