The UK’s laziest Councillor?

Reform UK’s Councillor Shaun Knowles in Northumberland has been paid £9340.67 since becoming a councillor.

An FOI has shown he’s sent 2, TWO emails since May!

He’s attended just 1 meeting (in Sept) since elected.

Reform UK wasting tax payer money.

Kemi Badenoch says "isn't it the truth" that Keir Starmer only cares about one person's job - "his own"

Starmer: "She wants to put half a million children back into poverty, she thinks the Chancellor should resign because the economy is improving"

As Jonathan Gullis joins Reform UK, it's only fair to remind people of this.

As I've seen someone else say already, it's little things like this that actually show you the kind of man someone his. No ego. No sense of feeling that it has to be him to do it, as he's the PM. Just a genuine act of kindness to allow a young local lad who does good work to do it instead.
PM Keir Starmer oversees Downing Street’s Christmas lights being switched on.

Community hero Samuel makes history as the first-ever person to switch on the Christmas lights who is not PM

We are delighted to welcome Jonathan Gullis to Reform UK. I had to calm down Lee Anderson, who was concerned that he may no longer be the thickest twat in the party.

At 11am, I have been told that the school trip I was told I am not going on, I am, in fact, now going on. Lovely. Not like I had my lessons for tomorrow planned or anything like that, and will now have to arrange cover or anything.

Piers Morgan completely missing the mark when it comes to Laura K. Does he think that women should be doing the cooking and cleaning and taking the kids to school while the men graft away in the factory? This might blow his mind, but men can wash the clothes and take the kids to school now!

Piers Morgan is a wanker. Thanks for the reminder, BBC.

Just seen a local pub on the community FB page complain that the minimum wage increase is too much. Thank you for giving me a reason not to go there. If your business isn't viable while also paying the staff a decent wage, that isn't the governments fault.

Scrapping the two-child cap is both anti-poverty & pro-learning.

Children don’t come to school ready to learn if they live in poverty. Teachers can’t focus on teaching if they’re plugging gaps elsewhere.

What goes on outside the school gates makes a big difference inside them.

If you think a seventh prime minister in ten years will magically solve the structural problems, deep malaise and febrile atmosphere caused by austerity, Brexit and social media, you're a fundamentally unserious person.

How do pundits turn:

Likelihood of interest rates cut

Stronger pound

Bond market rebound

Growth

Reduced child poverty

Increased tax on the wealthy

Higher wages

Into a cause for negative comment ?

Must be Labour they are commenting on because for anyone else this would be a major success

In politics, you don’t get many days like today - when a campaign you have worked on for eight years finally wins. The 2 child limit is going, 1.6m kids will benefit and 450k will move out of poverty. Take a moment, everyone: we did this
November 26, 2025 at 7:45 PM
If you complain that we need to stop sending money abroad to look after our own instead and then complain at the two-child benefit cap being lifted, they're a four-letter word beginning with c to aptly describe you.

Best budget day for UK gilts since 2006 >>
Deutsche Bank analysts have spotted an interesting fact:
At first glance, the gilt market likes what it heard from the Chancellor today.

'..today marks the largest fall in 10y gilt yields on the day of a UK budget or major fiscal statement since 2006.'
