Congress passed the Taft-Hartley Act in 1947 (over Truman's veto) to make general strikes so incredibly difficult to organize that there hasn't been one since.
That there is a general strike happening in a major US city on such short notice is nothing short of a miracle.

National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation.

My thoughts all along - Greenland itself isn't the point.
Rather, beyond poisoning the well, this whole boondoggle effectively takes the wind out of American sails when decrying disputes over sovereignty elsewhere.

I think we're playing out of Putin's playbook, so the next move is to increase the number of forces in Greenland, start restricting movement and the like all while claiming we are perfectly legal and within our rights to do so. Then Trump says Greenland is US and instructs the US to change its maps.
