Gays really can't do math. Was scrolling the For You feed and saw a post about it being the 10th and how that person can't believe we're already 10% through the year...and then there was a reply asking if they meant 10% through the month, but that's not right either!

Had one last family holiday gathering today that thankfully went well, mostly because the more left leaning contingent of the family outnumbered the conservatives so there were no shenanigans today.

Christmas day was supposed to a simple max 6 hour visit but because my family can't communicate turned into a hectic 12 hour affair. Felt like torture at times, but I did eventually escape.

This is so stupid, but was supposed to have people coming over tonight, which led to a frenzied rush to clean my apartment, but everyone understandably canceled because of the snow. Now I'm overwhelmingly sad and feel lonely.

The number of seats in Canada’s House of Commons is very close to the cube root of the country’s population, a tendency that is common in other democracies.
If the U.S. did that, the House would have nearly 700 members today instead of just 435, which is the same number it had in 1913
