I've been working on a small personal piece based on @deswalsh.bsky.social 's reference photos of Turville St but it's not done yet
A 3D rendering of a corner building based on an actual building on Turville Street, London but more stylized. The lower floor is covered in dark green glazed tiles with a very shiny surface. Large windows would open into a shop space but are black and reflective. Dark grey tiles line the intersection between the building and the street and plaster moldings separate the upper and lower floors. At the corner the building has a rounded profile with the windows following that same curve. The upper floor has red-tan bricks with thick mortar between them and banks for windows in sets of two, a rectangular window on the bottom and a window with a semi-circular shaped topper on the top of the wall. The building is asymmetrical one side is longer than the other. The street has cobblestones running down one side until it meets the main road where it blends into asphalt. The sidewalk has pale rectangular concrete shapes lining the street edge and thick dark grey tiles lining the actual street. An accessibility ramp allows access from the sidewalk into the street. Metal poles are positioned at regular intervals along the sidewalk to protect civilians from cars. A chimney can be seen peeking out above the top edge of the building. Digital artwork of a fictitious space station. The station, called Rana, features eight wheels — two at 33km in diameter, and two smaller ones at 26km in diameter. The larger ones house humans, while the smaller ones house an alien species whose home planet has a lower gravity. Artificial gravity is created by spinning the wheels. Artwork depicting the various disciplines involved in the field of Geosciences. A section is shown through the Earth and various features are shown, such as oceanography, climatology, seismology, tectonics and volcanology. A vision of the landscape of Mars with water in the ancient past, when its atmosphere was thicker and warmer. This shows a view over a canyon system and river. There are hints of green, indicative of primitive life Artwork of an exoplanet being evaporated by its star, the white dwarf WD1145+017. Commissioned for a press release by Harvard University in 2015.

I say invigorating, the truth is getting into the industry was hard, & my teenage years were ones filled with poverty and hard times. Yet the art seems untouched, uncorrupted by that, and I am thankful.

I hope more people discover this part of art & find themselves happiness (and work) through it.

working on improving the particle system. these size and split on impact like they are breaking apart. in the original I also counted the bounces and killed the particle after 3, not sure if Ill bring that back or not.
