Hi? Here's some things to know.

I swear a lot. If you're offended by words like wankspangled knobcockle, I'm not for you.

I post many moths & other bugs. I talk/yell about alt text, chronic life, pencils, & paint. I post paint-making a lot…
A colour pencil drawing of an imaginary emperor moth. It has wide, fuzzy wings that are mint green with a cream border and red wavy horizontal stripes. There are also startling eye spots, one on each wing. Its body is also green and very, very fluffy. It has thin comb-like antennas. Although it is a fictional species it's still a very good moth friend.

I love Berlin in the same way I love northern Norway.

I absolutely do not have any kinda handle on the dialect whatsoever (or even the language in the case of German.)

But very clearly these people really, really know how to swear, and I profoundly respect that.

Fritillaries sketch vs final.

1. Fritillaria amana (used to be F. hermonis subsp. amana)

A finished sketch is taped to the page. There's test blobs of colour dotted about the place. The finished detailed drawing of the previously described fritillaria, with red and green petals, a pale green stem and dark green leaves. It looks very tidy compared to the sketchbook.

The infographic is plainly nonsense, containing many spelling errors, nonsense words, meaningless images and graphs. Clearly created using generative AI and (crucially) NEVER CHECKED AT ANY STEP OF THE WRITING OR PUBLICATION PROCESS.

Well, my brain is having a moment tonight, & it's started calling mixing trees like this one

'Paint taxonomy.'

Send halp.
A paint mixing tree showing how 4 single pigment colours are mixed to make 5 other colours. The pigments are Hansa yellow medium PY74, pyrrole red PR254, ultramarine blue green shade PB29, and chromite brown PBr33. The resulting colours are 2 shades of bright orange, a deep red with brown granulation, and granulating violet and brown. It has nothing to do with taxonomy, but my brain doesn't seem to care.
