Just had a visit from the fire department. Two and a half days home from rehab and Mom fell again. She’s not injured, but between this and the loss of so much of the progress she made, I think we’re done here. I can’t give her the kind of care she needs, and she won’t listen to me.

I brought Mom home on Wednesday, after a couple of days in the hospital and almost 2 weeks in rehab. She was doing so much better! She was steadier on her feet, her sleep/wake schedule was better, and she just seemed overall happier. (Although REALLY ready to be home again.)
And then, Thursday.

There are two very different ways to say "Never heard of it!"
1. "I, a person of great taste and importance who has heard of everything good, have never heard of this thing, hence it must be a bag of wank."
2. "Tell me more. I love finding out about new things, especially if they are brilliant."

I don't get why some people think "Never heard of it!" is an insult. Loads of things virtually nobody has ever heard of are brilliant. Not all things virtually everybody has heard of are total dogshit, but five decades of empirical research has demonstrated to me that a vast number of them are.

Our snow prediction keeps creeping up. We started a couple days ago at 4-7, and as of the evening news, they’re saying 8-12. Will be interesting to see what we actually get.
