I just realized that my entire online presence can be summed up as screaming PLEASE FFS BE KIND into the void.
Friend of the family: how are you

Me: 🤔 *pokes my tummy* a little squishy?
My ballot is in the mail! Now, where is the button I can press to turn off ALL political notifications in every way shape and form until after the election?
😯

There’s a lot to be mad about these days. Sometimes it’s the little things that really get us.
Yeah sounded like it.

I wonder how long until my feed tells me what it is and I get mad because of more bad faith controversy.
Interesting. Youre only the second person I’ve heard of having heard that it was rough for a lot of people. But every single person chiming in so far hasn’t had trouble with it either.

Not that it means anything 😆 but it’s curious
Interesting! And yeah, I’m rapidly approaching the age for that one. I’ve seen people with shingles and how long it took for them to recover. I would gladly pass on that experience. Good to know that I need to arrange for them to happen on a Friday so that I can recover.
Ex: my mild gum issues nearly became an emergency dental visit with so much pain I was afraid I’d suddenly developed a need for root canal. But it’s back to normal mild now.
For the curious — the bad reactions two of us had weren’t so much the immediate post vaccine, though there was some low grade fever. It was more immune systems going wonky for a few weeks after. Several minor issues became major for a bit. >>
Interesting!

(So glad to hear you’re largely recovered!! I seem to be stalled at 70-80% recovery, still hypersensitive to things that cause exacerbations etc. but I bet I’d be doing better if this year hadn’t been pure family hell and chaos.)
Good to know tho as i think I’m approaching shingles vax age. Ty!!
Ty! Yeah, I’m noticing a pattern here.
Yeah, that definitely sounds normal. Thanks!
Thanks! That’s the other thing I’m trying to figure out. Before LC I never had a problem with *any* vaxes so I’d just been getting my flu shot at the same time as the covid shot & assuming my horrible reactions were to the latter. So this year I just got the flu shot and it was… definitely a thing.
I haven’t found any info on if the flu shot was made differently this year or not, so I guess it’s not that? So I’m wondering if it’s a lot of people reacting in a new way because of all the constant viruses we’ve been dealing with, or if it’s just LC people.

*shrug* just seeking anecdata.
Crowdsourcing question time: if you had the flu shot, was it harder on you than usual?

Context: 3 people I know, including myself, all had a harder time from it than in previous years. Interestingly, all 3 of us are dealing with long covid from the first wave. SO. >>
Like I said, it was making me Mad
