“In a world where you can be anything, why not be kind?”

I love books, tech, and a good pun. Atheist and aspiring humanist. Open to opportunities to be an ally.

To be really accurate about AI, the Terminator movies should have had Skynet pop up randomly with passive-aggressive suggestions to have it write your essay or email. But that kind of graphic violence would have gotten them an NC-17.
🤘🏽🤘🏽 I have no use for it and have never used it, despite it constantly shoving itself in my face every time I start a document
Hands up if you've never used Chat GPT ✋

(I feel like Dozer and Tank in The Matrix right now - at first I didn't use it because, rather ironically, I'm lazy and stubborn (peak Taurus energy there) - literally no, don't make me use the new thing I don't wanna. Now I'm glad I didn't 😅)
Probably a good way to tell right now if the job you’re applying for is run by absolute dumbfucks is to ask if they’re using AI.

I’m not familiar with her entire record, but she undoubtedly broke some glass ceilings and helped pass useful legislation.

But it’s also good to clear out some of the literally old guard and get some fresh, young people to represent us.

Wait, Catherynne M Valente and Mass Effect, two great things that go great together? Adding to my towering reading list!
I just finished Mass Effect Andromeda Annihilation by @catvalente.bsky.social and…

Oh. My. God.

That book made me feel every single human emotion from top to bottom. Humor, sadness, horror, love, mystery, surprise.

Easily a top 5 book of all time for me.

Why are they constantly trying to drag trans people to center stage? The Right worries about other peoples’ genitals to an alarming degree

I don’t condone his killing. But it’s ridiculous how the Right has made him a saint and the MSM are sanitizing his record. I won’t mourn him in any way.

So many, better things we could fund by shaving off fractions of our bloated military budget.
And again I say, most food should be free. We could feed the entire country for the low, low cost of a few of those outrageous military contracts.

I read the book and was ecstatic when my brother and I discovered the game. We played the $h1t out of that game. We drew maps and had strategy meetings.
Today's Classic Cover is Zilphia Keatley Snyder's 1975 fantasy novel Below the Root, with the cover illustration by James C. Christensen. Below the Root inspired a canonical sequel in the form of a 1984 video game of the same name, considered an early precursor to metroidvanias.
