I like that @aqaeducation.bsky.social have made resources like exampro free for centres, but PLEASE make a decision where to find other resources. No point promoting "new" All About Maths that *doesn't* yet have Summer 2025 papers on it. They are still hidden in Centre Services! #mathsteachers

A reminder that the original Hallowe'en jack o' lanterns date back to 18th century Ireland if not earlier, were based on a shady boozy blacksmith called Stingy Jack who cheated the devil & was trapped between 2 worlds, were carved from turnips and looked like this:

Happy birthday to the Lovell Telescope (previously known as the Mark I) at Jodrell Bank, Cheshire. On October 11, 1957, the radio telescope (then the world's largest steerable dish) was used for the first time to collect scientific data when it tracked the carrier rocket that launched Sputnik 1.

... Which is fine if the AI gets the question correct.
This has forced my y11s who I've had since y8 to at least write down all theb working stages from AI so if they are using it at least they're writing examples down...
All their homework is now 50+ mins with videos being watched etc.

I like that - What's the poem?
They also all have a poem I got Chat GPT to write about the futility of using AI to do homework stuck in their honework books on the front cover.

#MathsToday I had to talk to students (again) about why trusting AI to do their homework is not a good idea. 2nd time I have caught it out in a week.
#Maths teachers using online hwk platforms, what do you do about this?

Saturn, rising behind its largest moon Titan.

This scene is a composite of images taken by the Cassini spacecraft on 31 March 2005. At the time, Cassini was 7,000 km from Titan and 1.2 million km from Saturn.
