Trans calligrapher // 30s // she/they

DM for commissions. Signatures, documents and landmark gifts for trans people are always free.

Please understand that I am very online but in a way where I understand none of the lore
Pinned
I'm still at a loss for what to actually do right now, but at very least I'm a calligrapher, so I'm offering free commissions to trans and nonbinary people for the foreseeable future
Genres cannot be subversive.

Art *within* genres can be, but a genre itself is not subversive, no matter how much you like it.

HR departments countrywide need to start treating gendercrit employees as potentially hostile. As soon as you are required to interact with one, you dust off the rulebook, you dot every eye and cross every t, and you assume bad faith at every turn.

They are a threat to every organisation.

the judge who refused the doctor being harassed by a bigot at Fife the right to anonymity throughout these proceedings and ultimately led to her name and photos being published by the press and all of the harassment that has happened since

should still step down

you piece of shit.

All the claims against Dr. Beth Upton failed.

She’s entirely vindicated and her evidence was found more reliable.

Let’s see if a single paper actually represents that fairly…

If nothing else, at least they've done everything in their power to lose my support before they ever had it, so I don't have to feel disappointed when it inevitably fails to amount to anything.

One of the simplest ways to see that creators aren’t bourgeois is that we don’t, as creators, appropriate other peoples’ labor.

We do labor that we can eventually make money from, we don’t make money from exploiting others. It’s the exploitative relation that characterizes the bourgeoisie.
Honestly, people calling creators the "petite bourgeoisie" makes me want to snap.

We're working folk. And we work really hard. For next to nothing.

We're not lounging around eating bonbons. We're trying to figure out how we're going to be able to pay rent next month.

Love being in a meeting about the stupid AI project that's costing me my job where all the evangelists wring their hands about how it's not nearly as good as they hoped. Like, yes you fucking morons, that's what I was trying to tell you months ago.

Meanwhile, I've had a doctor insist I have to tell her the *exact* sex acts which cause me most discomfort, no euphamism, and ask for more and more detail after every response 🙃
Cis people, how many times have you been asked to describe how you masturbate, and what you think about when you do, to access healthcare on the NHS?

Esther Ghey's actions are the reason I just had a conversation with my siblings and fiancee, instructing them to ban my parents from any future funeral or memorial in my honour, along with anyone else using any kind of rationalisation to deadname me.
Brianna Ghey was not murdered for being Esther Ghey's daughter, and Esther locating the problem of her daughter being murdered by radicalised cis kids in her daughter being trans is a result of her class loyalty. She simply wants to prevent kids from being trans. She gets no more grace from me.

literally some of the first things my parents said to me before subjecting me to transphobic abuse was "if you lived in the village and had a Nokia with no internet, we wouldn't have this problem"
So, given that a lot of trans people are offended that Brianna's transfemicide is being turned into a crusade against phone use, when Brianna had a supportive online community and was murdered offline by her classmates:

Do you think "Touch grass" is an appropriate response to that context?

removing a trans person's connection to the internet is an act of deliberate social isolation with intent to 'convert' and everyone knows it

a lot of queer folk can't quite put their fingers on why they're so angry and upset about this shit and yeah no this is it.

We all know and we even know that they know too. Eg the MP can't even give a single line explaining how this phone shit would have helped Brianna.

They're just playing dumb.
I hate this "phones" conversation regarding queer people and queer kids because the bottom line is, cishet society KNOWS. Right-wingers KNOW that the internet is how queer people connect to each other---hell, that marginalized people period use it to organize and educate.

That's why they hate it.

Marilyn's writing is so good and It's A Living is so hot and adorable and you have to go read it right now and then give her your money on patreon. She deserves it, and *you* deserve to read this story, as a treat to yourself.
The new chapter of It's A Living, my spicy sapphic rom-com about porn stars, is up now! This time around, the game is up, and Janet has been called onto the carpet over at Blackout Video. Will this be the end for our plucky heroines? Read on and find out! www.scribblehub.com/read/1677311...

This evening was my first irl experience of some 20-nothing enby I'd never met before telling me that I don't count as nonbinary because I use she/they and I'm not as nonconformist as they are.

Torn between astonishment at tumblr being a real person, and the urge to commit great acts of violence.

This is the most complicated way to say "I can't forefront the fact I'm enby because people are constantly looking for excuses to misgender transfems", but hey.

To a lot of people, queer or not, Manhood is not seen as another facet of the gender-regime but represents the ultimate freedom from gender, and so anyone "queering gender" is seen as wanting to move closer to Manhood.

This notion makes blood pour out of my mouth, ears, nostrils and eyes.

Enby transfem dyke is a fun identity because you'll have a militant commitment to the idea that gendered expectations are a stultifying shackle even in queer contexts and Womanhood is a cage we need to abolish, and this desire for gender-freedom instantly makes people see you as more of a Man.
